Listening Style

What is it?

A great opportunity to get feedback on how you listen and the effect this has on the people you regularly interact with. Listening is very much about hearing another person's message and working with that person to clarify that you understand the message from the other person's perspective.

The aim is to develop a process that can help you to identify your Listening Style(s) and become a more effective listener.

What will it do?

Communication success is mainly achieved when people respect each other enough to enable constructive relationships to be built and maintained. The Listening Style questionnaire provides excellent feedback on listening preferences and when linked to Relationship Colours provides additional insights into what makes or breaks a relationship. By knowing your listening preferences you will be in a much better position to make improvements to all your important relationships.

Why choose it?

The way you view your relationships will naturally influence your approach to listening when interacting with others. The approach you take when listening will naturally impact on the effectiveness of these relationships. Therefore, it would be of benefit to know when and how to modify your listening to best meet the needs of those you are interacting with. This often creates the environment that encourages reciprocity from others when they modify their behaviour to meet yours.
